Curiosity turned into a career.
Hi, I’m Rohan.
An engineer who spends weekends playing badminton and most weekdays thinking about why things feel easy — or frustrating — to use.
I’ve always been drawn to storytelling. Photography, videography, even experimenting with a small YouTube channel helped me understand how people experience things — what keeps attention and what makes people drop off.

But long before I knew the term user experience, I was learning about it somewhere else.
I grew up around my father's hardware shop. Watching customers walk in with problems and leave only when something was clearly explained taught me something early: clarity builds trust. Confusion creates hesitation.
Without realizing it, I was observing user behavior.
Over time, I noticed the same patterns everywhere — in movies, in gyms, in apps, even in the ergonomics of my Honda H’ness. I kept asking the same question:
Why do some experiences feel effortless while others feel frustrating?
That curiosity eventually led me to UX design. And it felt natural — like putting a name to something I had always been doing.
Today, I work as a Product Designer at Worldvisa in Bangalore, designing experiences that reduce friction and help people make confident decisions.
For me, UX isn’t something I switch on at work.
It’s how I move through the world.
What I've been leveling up lately
Over the past few years, I've grown from knowing just the basics of Figma in 2022 to thinking more deeply about how products actually work.
- Transitioning from learning UX to focusing on CX (Customer Experience) — understanding the full end-to-end journey, not just the interface
- Learning vibe-coding to prototype ideas and build my own portfolio project
- Transitioning from a UI designer mindset to product design thinking
- Improving how I empathize with users and understand real problems
- Strengthening collaboration with developers and stakeholders
Currently working as a Product Designer at Worldvisa in Bangalore, designing experiences that simplify complex processes.
Something I'm excited about right now
Right now, I'm working on a project that excites me a lot — because it's close to home.
I'm applying my UX thinking to my family's hardware business. Growing up around the shop taught me how customers make decisions in the real world. Now I'm trying to bring product thinking and measurable impact into it.

One idea I'm currently exploring is building a leaderboard system for our regular customers — mostly painters who frequently buy materials from us.
The goal is simple:
reward loyal customers, encourage repeat purchases, and make the experience a little more engaging for them.
But the interesting part is how I'm building it.
Since AI became part of my workflow, my design process has changed completely. I now move faster by exploring ideas, prototyping, and validating concepts using AI tools alongside traditional UX thinking.
This project is a small experiment, but it's helping me understand something important:
How design can directly influence real-world business outcomes.
